Memorial Day 2010

Today is Memorial Day. We went to the cemetery to put some flowers and American flags on Dad's and Grandpa's headstones. I miss my Dad and Grandpa so much! Days like today can be difficult for me. Plus, the anniversary of Grandpa's death is coming up along with Father's Day. Memories of Dad and Grandpa will be on my mind even more the next few weeks.
I took some pictures of the headstones today while we were there.

I also finally put this decal on the rear window of my car. I thought today would be an appropriate day to do so.

Candle Giveaway!

Since my husband is working on a Saturday; since it's been a cloudy, rainy day; and since it's been almost two months since I have done a blog post. I am doing a GIVEAWAY! Carl is working on a Saturday evening for a co-worker, but he will have Labor Day off. That will be nice because Carl will be able to stay at our family reunion as long as he likes. For the past few years, he has only been able to stay for an hour before heading into work. Instead of staying home by myself, Mom and I went shopping. We went to a consignment store called Off The Hanger, where I bought this pair of shoes for only $6:   Cute, huh?   We also went to Bath and Body Works. They were having a Labor Day Sale. The 3-wick candles are 2 for $20 this weekend. The mini candles are 2 for $5, and they also have lots of other things on sale. I love it when they have the candles on sale. I absolutely love the candles at Bath and Body Works!   I bought these two large candles.
