Birthday Party for Brooklynn and Mackenzie

Last night I went to a birthday party for my little cousins Brooklynn, who just turned 3, and Mackenzie, who will be 2 next week. The girls LOVE Dora the Explorer, so that was the theme. We bought them a couple of Dora books and stickers to go along with the cash that we gave them. These girls are totally something else. They are non-stop fun. They talk all the time. I am amazed at how they can carry on a conversation, even Mackenzie, who is only (almost) 2. They speak in complete sentences, and they talk very plainly. They are very smart (That must run in the Miller family...).
Here are some pictures from the party. The batteries died in my camera towards the end of the party, so I did not get as many pics as I wanted.

Candle Giveaway!

Since my husband is working on a Saturday; since it's been a cloudy, rainy day; and since it's been almost two months since I have done a blog post. I am doing a GIVEAWAY! Carl is working on a Saturday evening for a co-worker, but he will have Labor Day off. That will be nice because Carl will be able to stay at our family reunion as long as he likes. For the past few years, he has only been able to stay for an hour before heading into work. Instead of staying home by myself, Mom and I went shopping. We went to a consignment store called Off The Hanger, where I bought this pair of shoes for only $6:   Cute, huh?   We also went to Bath and Body Works. They were having a Labor Day Sale. The 3-wick candles are 2 for $20 this weekend. The mini candles are 2 for $5, and they also have lots of other things on sale. I love it when they have the candles on sale.
