Junior Church

I am doing a Hawaiian/Luau theme in Junior Church this, while teaching the Days of Creation.The memory verse is Psalm 118:24 - "This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it." I have never done a tropical theme before, so I am excited to see how the kids like it. Here are some pics of the room. Let me know what you think.

These "windows" came all in one piece. There are 3 of them.


The bulletin board. It looks a little bare in the center. I need to fix that.


The chairs with the leis. The kids will get to take these home at the end of the month.

Candle Giveaway!

Since my husband is working on a Saturday; since it's been a cloudy, rainy day; and since it's been almost two months since I have done a blog post. I am doing a GIVEAWAY! Carl is working on a Saturday evening for a co-worker, but he will have Labor Day off. That will be nice because Carl will be able to stay at our family reunion as long as he likes. For the past few years, he has only been able to stay for an hour before heading into work. Instead of staying home by myself, Mom and I went shopping. We went to a consignment store called Off The Hanger, where I bought this pair of shoes for only $6:   Cute, huh?   We also went to Bath and Body Works. They were having a Labor Day Sale. The 3-wick candles are 2 for $20 this weekend. The mini candles are 2 for $5, and they also have lots of other things on sale. I love it when they have the candles on sale. I absolutely love the candles at Bath and Body Works!   I bought these two large candles.
