Because I was bored...or out of my mind

Image
Okay, I was bored and mot tired enough to go to bed yet, so here goes. I found this little game on another blog. If I tag you, don't feel obligated to do this. It's just for fun. The rules: Open the folder with all of your photos. Open your 6th photo folder. Take your 6th photo in that folder and blog it. Write something about it. Tag 6 fellow bloggers to do the same. Here's mine: This is a picture of fruit from a cashew tree in Panama. You know, like cashew nuts. They grow on trees. The actual nut grows at the bottom of a soft fruit called a cashew apple. You can eat the fruit too. My mom says that the fruit is pretty tasty...I never tried it, so I don't know. But be careful, the juice from the fruit will stain your clothes. Here in the States, cashews are pretty expensive. But in Panama, the trees are everywhere and you can always find someone to sell you some pretty cheap. Here are the people I tag: 1. Karen Walden 2. Annette Killinger 3. Angie Davis 4. Joya Russell

I can't wait to start reading it... But first, I want to finish reading this book: And I also want to read this book: But, as much as I would love to read those books, my relationship with God is more important. Therefore, this will be the Book that receives the majority of my attention: For that is the Book that matters most. The other books can wait...

A Yard Sale Find...

Image
Mom found this beautiful picture for me today at a yard sale. This will probably go in my and Carl's living room above our piano...when we get a piano. If anyone knows where we can get a good deal on one, let us know.

Bridal Shower Number 1

Image
Saturday, April 4th, my future Sister-in-Law, Tammy, had a bridal shower for me. She invited the women from Carl's side of the family. It was a good time. I will admit that I was a little nervous about it at first, since I have always been with Carl when I have been around his family, obviously. But, all of his family, my new family, have taken me in as one of their own. I really appreciate that. They are super nice. I received a lot of things for our new house. I was so grateful for each and every gift. Tammy had put together a cookbook of family recipes, which was really neat. Here are some pics from the day. Bridal Shower

Two months

...to go before I become Mrs. Carl Froelich!

This song spoke to me

I was listening to the radio last night as I was trying to fall asleep, when this song came on. It spoke to me and I thought I would post the lyrics on here. Maybe someone else needs the encouragement as well. God IS always there. Building 429 - Always From the album Building 429 I was standing in the pouring rain one dark November night Fighting off the bitter cold when she caught my eye Her face was taught and her eyes were filled, and to my surprise She pulled out a photograph and my heart just stopped inside She said, "He would've been three today I miss his smile, I miss his face" What was I supposed to say, but CHORUS I believe always, always Our Savior never fails Even when all hope is gone God knows our pain and his promise remains He will be with you always He was living in a broken world, dreaming of a home His heart was barely keeping pace when I found him all alone Remembering the way he felt when his daddy said goodbye Fighting just to keep the tears and the

The things kids say...

Image
One never knows just what kids will say. Yesterday while in Junior Church, I had to laugh out loud at what Adam Forsee had to say. Our memory verse for April is the last part of Mark 16:6: He is risen, he is not here. Behold the place where they laid him. Well, we were reviewing the verse, saying it several times. I always ask if anyone wants to say it on their own. Usually I have several that do. I have a great group of kids that like to learn Scripture. Well, I asked Adam, who is three, if he would like to try the verse. I asked him to repeat after me, and this is how it went: Me: Okay, Adam. Repeat after me...He is risen... Adam: He is in prison... Sister Naomi Greathouse and I: *laughing* Me: No, no. It is He is risen... Adam: He is in prison... We never did get him to say "He is risen," it always came out "He is in prison." He would repeat the rest of the verse almost perfectly, but that first part. It was soo cute...and pretty funny. Never a dull moment with A
