A Sad Day and a Happy Day....

Today is Friday, June 13th. For some people, that might make you nervous. It is Friday the 13th. For me, today holds two meanings... First, June 13th, 2001 was the day my Grandpa Miller went to be with Jesus. Grandpa died between 6:30 and 7pm that evening. He had been in a coma for a few days, and the doctors told Grandma and us that there was nothing else that could be done for Grandpa. Grandma and the children had to make the decision to take him off life support. I know that was a very hard decision for Grandma to make. We had planned on pulling the life support when my great-uncle Roger arrived from Florida late on Wednesday, June 13th. Well, Jesus decided to take Grandpa home before they had to pull life support. I remember that our church was packed at Grandpa's funeral...which he would have loved. He always wanted to see a full church. James and I played Amazing Grace at the funeral along with the chorus that he loved to sing with Amazing Grace, "When the Battle's

New Cousin!

I have a new cousin. Her name is Mackenzie Grace. She is Lynn's new baby. She was born on Thursday, June 5th, at 3:46AM. Mackenzie weighed 6 pounds, 5 ounces, and was 19 inches long. She is too cute! She actually has more hair than her big sister Brooklynn who just turned a year on May 19th. You can tell Brooklynn doesn't really know what to think of her little sister yet. Lynn is going to have her hands full, that's for sure. Here are some pictures: Mackenzie Grace Me and Mackenzie Grandpa with both grandbabies With Uncle Josh With Uncle Jeremy With cousin Daniel

So very true... I am sooo thankful that I can talk to God anytime...anywhere...I never get a busy signal, or have to take a number, or get told to try again later. God hears me even when no one else does.

Going to the Big D...well close anyway.

My best friend Amy lives in Fort Worth, Texas. I have been to visit her twice, and loved both trips. There is so much to do there. We have been talking about me making another trip down there for a few months now. Amy loves the 4th of July, and thought it would be awesome if I could fly down there to visit at that time. She also wanted a mutual friend of ours, Gina, to go down at the same time. Triple trouble, if you ask me, but a fun time. Well, I have been checking the prices for flights for about a month now...really ever since I got back from Panama. Everything that I found was right around $300. The past couple of weeks, it has been around $350...which was a little out of my price range. I knew that if I spent that much on a plane ticket, that I would not have much to spend while I was down there. I had heard that airfares are cheaper on Wednesdays, so I did some browsing today before I went to lunch. I fould a flight for only $186 ! I was so excited! The flight times were just wh

Happy Birthday, Mom!!!

Today is my Mom's birthday. I won't tell you her age, but I will say that she does not look her age at all. :) James and I just want everyone to know that we think our Mom is the best! She is funny, caring, a Christian, a great cook, loving, and so much more! She has been through alot this year, but has been a beautiful testimony of someone who has depended on the Lord for every need. Happy Birthday, Mom! We love you! Here are some pictures of Mom that I had on my computer: Dad, Mom, Grandma Miller, Pat and Don at the Sunday School Picnic - August 2007 Mom and I at Amador in Panama Grandma Pena and Mom Mom and her youngest sister, Maria Mom with Grandma and half of her siblings.
