Gaither Concert


Friday night we went to the Gaither Homecoming concert at Conseco Fieldhouse. It had been a long, long time since I had attended a Gaither concert, and Carl has never been to one, so it was a new experience for him. It was amazing! We enjoyed it so much. We went with my cousin Jennifer and her boyfriend Nate. We met for dinner at Logan's and drove up to Conseco together. Even though we ordered our tickets at different times, our seats were in the same section and row, only two seats apart. We actually switched with the people who had the seats between us so that we could sit beside Jenn and Nate. It was a great concert, and now we are looking forward to going to National Quartet Convention in September.

Candle Giveaway!

Since my husband is working on a Saturday; since it's been a cloudy, rainy day; and since it's been almost two months since I have done a blog post. I am doing a GIVEAWAY! Carl is working on a Saturday evening for a co-worker, but he will have Labor Day off. That will be nice because Carl will be able to stay at our family reunion as long as he likes. For the past few years, he has only been able to stay for an hour before heading into work. Instead of staying home by myself, Mom and I went shopping. We went to a consignment store called Off The Hanger, where I bought this pair of shoes for only $6:   Cute, huh?   We also went to Bath and Body Works. They were having a Labor Day Sale. The 3-wick candles are 2 for $20 this weekend. The mini candles are 2 for $5, and they also have lots of other things on sale. I love it when they have the candles on sale. I absolutely love the candles at Bath and Body Works!   I bought these two large candles.
