Miller - Monroe Reunion

Every Labor Day, we have a family reunion at my Grandma Miller's house. I don't remember the exact year that Grandpa and Grandma started this, but it has become a tradition. It combines my Grandpa's side of the family (Miller) and my Grandma's side (Monroe) together for one reunion. It is always nice to see family that we usually only see about once a year. We had some beautiful weather for the reunion this year.

I think this reunion was started before I was born or at least when I was very little. I just always remember going every year.
I sure wish I could have made it this year.

Candle Giveaway!

Since my husband is working on a Saturday; since it's been a cloudy, rainy day; and since it's been almost two months since I have done a blog post. I am doing a GIVEAWAY! Carl is working on a Saturday evening for a co-worker, but he will have Labor Day off. That will be nice because Carl will be able to stay at our family reunion as long as he likes. For the past few years, he has only been able to stay for an hour before heading into work. Instead of staying home by myself, Mom and I went shopping. We went to a consignment store called Off The Hanger, where I bought this pair of shoes for only $6:   Cute, huh?   We also went to Bath and Body Works. They were having a Labor Day Sale. The 3-wick candles are 2 for $20 this weekend. The mini candles are 2 for $5, and they also have lots of other things on sale. I love it when they have the candles on sale. I absolutely love the candles at Bath and Body Works!   I bought these two large candles.
