Tim Hawkins concert

Last night, we went to see comedian Tim Hawkins in concert. It was hilarious! It was a lot of fun. We went with Carl's Dad and step mom, and brother Jason and his wife Tammy. Carl's dad actually bought all the tickets. It was part of our Christmas gift. We had a really good time. It was good to get away and just have some laughs for a couple of hours. The opening act, John Branyan was also a lot more funny than I expected him to be. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Candle Giveaway!

Since my husband is working on a Saturday; since it's been a cloudy, rainy day; and since it's been almost two months since I have done a blog post. I am doing a GIVEAWAY! Carl is working on a Saturday evening for a co-worker, but he will have Labor Day off. That will be nice because Carl will be able to stay at our family reunion as long as he likes. For the past few years, he has only been able to stay for an hour before heading into work. Instead of staying home by myself, Mom and I went shopping. We went to a consignment store called Off The Hanger, where I bought this pair of shoes for only $6:   Cute, huh?   We also went to Bath and Body Works. They were having a Labor Day Sale. The 3-wick candles are 2 for $20 this weekend. The mini candles are 2 for $5, and they also have lots of other things on sale. I love it when they have the candles on sale. I absolutely love the candles at Bath and Body Works!   I bought these two large candles.
