A Special Prayer Request
I want to ask anyone who read this to pray for my Aunt Halcie. She is the oldest of my Dad's siblings, and the only daughter. She has not been well for the last several weeks. She has complained of stomach pain for some time now. She had lost a lot of weight very quickly, and just did not look good.
Well, this past Friday night, she was rushed to the hospital and had emergency surgery. The doctor removed a tumor that that was on her colon. this tumor was blocking the colon, causing the right side of her colon to expand like a balloon and fill up with bacteria and all kinds of yucky stuff. Well, it expanded so much that her colon tore near her appendix, causing all the bacteria and all the other stuff that is usually in a person's colon to leak out inside her body. The doctor said that it took a long time to flush her body of as much bacteria as he could. The good news is that the tumor had not spread anywhere else. But the big problem was that she had a lot of bacteria still inside her. They placed her in the CCU after the surgery. The doctor said that she would probably have a good day, and then get really really sick. Well, that is what happened.
She was doing okay on Saturday. Then around 1AM on Sunday morning, she took a drastic turn for the worse. Her blood pressure dropped, and they think she had a blood clot in her lung. They had to do CPR on her several times. I guess. She came very close to dying. We spent much of the wee morning hours at the hospital with her husband, Steve, and her two daughters, Mindie with her kids Zachary and Andrea, and Robin with her husband Rick, and son Ryan. Robin is also expecting a baby in the first part of December. There was a lot of prayer for her at church yesterday.
Aunt Halcie is doing much better today. The heart doctor said that her heart is doing really good. But she is not out of the woods yet. Plus, she is not a Christian. Please pray that she will pray for salvation, and pray for healing of her body. Grandma was reading Bible verses about healing yesterday at the hospital. Also, please pray for the family, that they will turn to Jesus at this time. I thank the Lrod for what He has done for Aunt Halcie, and I know that He will do more for her if we just believe Him.
