Scenes from Junior Church

I thought I would post somes pictures that I took in Junior Church this past Sunday. I have started something new. I divided the chairs in the classroom so that I have two sides. I wanted boys against girls, but the first Sunday with the new set-up, I only had two boys...:( So now, I just try to keep the sides pretty even. I have two camping chairs at the front of the room. I picked two kids to be our captains for the day. They were to be our helpers, and to watch for quiet seats. The two quiet seat winners will be the captains next week. I think it went pretty well this week. I also took a suggestion from my Pastor's wife on how to enforce the rules...which is working so far. I am always looking for new things to try. I don't want the kids to get bored with the same old stuff every week. I want to keep things new and exciting, but most importantly, I want them to live for Jesus.

Candle Giveaway!

Since my husband is working on a Saturday; since it's been a cloudy, rainy day; and since it's been almost two months since I have done a blog post. I am doing a GIVEAWAY! Carl is working on a Saturday evening for a co-worker, but he will have Labor Day off. That will be nice because Carl will be able to stay at our family reunion as long as he likes. For the past few years, he has only been able to stay for an hour before heading into work. Instead of staying home by myself, Mom and I went shopping. We went to a consignment store called Off The Hanger, where I bought this pair of shoes for only $6:   Cute, huh?   We also went to Bath and Body Works. They were having a Labor Day Sale. The 3-wick candles are 2 for $20 this weekend. The mini candles are 2 for $5, and they also have lots of other things on sale. I love it when they have the candles on sale. I absolutely love the candles at Bath and Body Works!   I bought these two large candles.
