Happy 1st Birthday, Brooklynn Marie!!

Today, my little cousin, Brooklynn is 1! She is our miracle baby. She was born 10 weeks early. Her actual due date was at the end of July 2007. She was born May 19th. She was only 2 pounds when she was born. She was soooo tiny! She was in the hospital for quite a while and on a heart/breathing monitor for several months after she left the hospital. She is so precious! I love her to pieces! It is hard to believe that it has already been a year since she was born. We went to her birthday party on Saturday. She received a lot of gifts. She totally devoured her little cake! I have pictures, but I haven't loaded them onto my computer yet.

Have a very happy birthday, Brooklynn! We love you!

Since my husband is working on a Saturday; since it's been a cloudy, rainy day; and since it's been almost two months since I have done a blog post. I am doing a GIVEAWAY! Carl is working on a Saturday evening for a co-worker, but he will have Labor Day off. That will be nice because Carl will be able to stay at our family reunion as long as he likes. For the past few years, he has only been able to stay for an hour before heading into work. Instead of staying home by myself, Mom and I went shopping. We went to a consignment store called Off The Hanger, where I bought this pair of shoes for only $6:   Cute, huh?   We also went to Bath and Body Works. They were having a Labor Day Sale. The 3-wick candles are 2 for $20 this weekend. The mini candles are 2 for $5, and they also have lots of other things on sale. I love it when they have the candles on sale. I absolutely love the candles at Bath and Body Works!   I bought these two large candles.

Pinterest Recipe - Crockpot Italian Chicken

If sauce is too thick, add a little milk. Serve over pasta. We tried this a couple of weeks ago and really liked it. It is super easy, and tastes really good!
