Father's Day


Father's Day is not the same for me anymore. Since both my Grandpas and my Dad are gone, Father's Day is a sad day for me. I miss my Grandpas and Dad so very much.

I didn't have a picture of my Grandpa Peña on my computer to post one here. I didn't know him that well, but was told that he was a good man that cared about his family.

He was a great example of a what a Christian should be.



My Dad

He was a awesome father to us. I never doubted that he loved us. He was always willing to spend time with his family.

If you still have your dad and grandfathers with you, please take the time to tell them that you love them; even if your relationship may be a little rocky at times. Treasure the moments you have with your dad, too soon they will be gone.

Since my husband is working on a Saturday; since it's been a cloudy, rainy day; and since it's been almost two months since I have done a blog post. I am doing a GIVEAWAY! Carl is working on a Saturday evening for a co-worker, but he will have Labor Day off. That will be nice because Carl will be able to stay at our family reunion as long as he likes. For the past few years, he has only been able to stay for an hour before heading into work. Instead of staying home by myself, Mom and I went shopping. The 3-wick candles are 2 for $20 this weekend. The mini candles are 2 for $5, and they also have lots of other things on sale. I love it when they have the candles on sale. I absolutely love the candles at Bath and Body Works!   I bought these two large candles.

Pinterest Recipe - Crockpot Italian Chicken

If sauce is too thick, add a little milk. Serve over pasta. We tried this a couple of weeks ago and really liked it. It is super easy, and tastes really good!
