Miller - Monroe Reunion

Image
Every Labor Day, we have a family reunion at my Grandma Miller's house. I don't remember the exact year that Grandpa and Grandma started this, but it has become a tradition. It combines my Grandpa's side of the family (Miller) and my Grandma's side (Monroe) together for one reunion. It is always nice to see family that we usually only see about once a year. We had some beautiful weather for the reunion this year. Mackenzie with a kitty Family (Monroe Side) More family (Miller side) Josh and Brooklynn Trying to get a toy out of the tree...

Cook-out at our house

Image
This afternoon, we had a cook-out with my Mom, James, and the Forsee Family (our Pastor). It was a nice way to celebrate Mom's birthday. It was a really nice time of food and fun. The kids always enjoy playing in our big backyard. Pastor Forsee and Carl played some catch, and James played catch with the Forsee boys for a while. It was hot, but every now and then, a nice breeze would come by. We love to have people over to our house. Thankfully, this coming weekend looks to be a little slower paced. Then, it gets busy again.... We didn't go to IHC, but we were able to watch some of the services online. I really enjoyed the Building for Keeps service, and Thursday evening was just too special for words. It was wonderful to see God moving in the service, and to feel Him near to me here at home. God is so good! Saturday afternoon, Carl and I went to visit Carl's brother, Jason. We went over to Jason and Tammy's house for a cook-out and fellowship. Our nephew, Elijah was excited to play with his Uncle Carl. He kept telling Carl, "Come play with me, come play with me." How could Uncle Carl resist? We had a good time, and the rain held off. We ate some good food, had some good conversation, and even watched...
