Deals at Kohl's

Image
I went to Kohl's last Friday and bought these items: How much do you think I paid for everything? Any guesses? Well...I spent $7.70...for everything. I was sooo proud of myself. The blouse was on the clearance rack for $5.50, and the wash towels were on sale for $3.99 each pack. I had a coupon for $5 off any purchase, along with another coupon for 15% off the entire order. Mom was very sweet and gave those coupons to me. My receipt says that I saved $67.00. How cool is that?! Don't you just love a bargain?

Thoughts of Spring

Image
I saw this maxi dress on the Kohls website. I think it would be really cute with a sweater or shrug. It is on sale right now, but I may wait until it is on sale and I have a additional coupon to use. I bought these flowers at Target tonight. I liked how they looked very "springy." Plus, I noticed after I bought the bouquet there is some eucalyptus in it. Supposedly, eucalyptus is stress relieving. (Maybe I should buy a bouquet for my office.)

New Purchases

Saturday was a more laid-back Saturday than the past Saturdays have been. It always seem like we have so much to do on Saturday, we are constantly on the run. I was glad for a lazy Saturday. All we had planned was buying groceries and decorating the Junior Church room. I had also wanted to go to Cato's to find a new skirt or two. I did find a jean skirt and a gray casual skirt that would still be business appropriate for work. Cato had the cutest suit on display that would have been perfect for Easter, but I didn't see the items on the rack. It was a cute aqua color. I may have to go back and check on it again. We also found the time to go to Family Christian Store, where I purchased this: David Phelps is one of my favorite tenors, and I was really looking forward to getting this. I can't wait to watch it. Carl also was a good sport, and we went to the mall. We only went in to two stores, New York and Co, and Hallmark. NY & Co was having a 50% off everything sale. ...

Shopping anyone?

Image
I get to go shopping this weekend. I have $20 Kohl's cash, plus a 15% off coupon, a $10 coupon for JC Penney, a coupon for a free trial size bottle at Bath and Body Works, and a 40% off coupon for Christopher and Banks. I am super excited! Carl is not so thrilled...lol!

Target Deals

Image
Here is a picture of the stuff I got at Target last night for under $20. The black boots were $9, the brown purse was $5, and the brown flats were $4. I was super excited! I was just mentioning to someone at work that I wanted a pair of black boots, but I didn't want to spend a lot of money on them. Isn't it just like God to grant us our desires! God is so good!! Ebates

Image
I recently signed up for EBates. It is a website that pays you cash for shopping online. You go to their website, ebates.com, and choose the online store where you want to shop (they have a lot!). Then you shop like you normally would. You can earn a small percentage of what you spent, usually around 2 to 5%, but I have seen some higher percentages. Every quarter, you will receive a check for the amount you earned. Pretty simple. They also sometimes have coupon codes for the online stores. If you sign up now, you can get a $5 bonus. Go through the link below, and I will get a referral bonus. http://www.ebates.com/rf.do?referrerid=2MFMfMa40rNLYN3szIteIg%3D%3D

Weekend Wrap-Up

Image
I guess I should have posted this one before the Monday night one, but oh well. We had a relaxing weekend. It was so beautiful outside! We had made plans to go visit with some family, but we had to postpone that for another weekend. Friday night after work, I made a trip to Target on the way home. (I love the fact that I pretty much live across the street from Target!) I found this purse for $7. It is nice and "springy." It matched my outfit for church perfectly yesterday. :) Plus, it is big enough to hold A LOT of stuff. Saturday afternoon, I went to a Bridal Shower for a friend I met a few years ago at work. She doesn't work there anymore, but we try to keep in touch through Facebook. Jenna received a lot of gifts. You would have to know Jenna and her family, but they keep you laughing, that is for sure. Since we had the change of plans I mentioned earlier, Carl and I decided to go to Texas Roadhouse for dinner on Saturday evening, after we went for a walk. (Had to bur...

Cato finds

Image
Carl and I went to eat out last Saturday night at McAlister's, and stopped by Cato before we ate. I bought these two skirts there. I am actually wearing the polka dot one tonight when we go to hear the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra. They are performing the music to The Wizard of Oz as the movie plays. I am really looking forward to it.

Goodwill finds

Image
Last Saturday, I went to the 50% off sale at Goodwill. I spent about $15 and bought a jean jacket, 3 skirts, 2 sweaters, and a blouse. I ended up taking 2 skirts and one of the sweaters back, but I was happy with my purchases. Here is a picture of what I bought.
