Froelich's Frolics

We had a very relaxing weekend. We thought that we would have no set plans since the original plans for the zoo fell through. After I came home from work on Saturday, we went to our local mall. We ate lunch at Paradise Bakery and Cafe (LOVE that place!). We were very happy to see Cream of Potato on the soup list. It is one of our favorite soups. I got a salad and Carl got a sandwich to go with the soup. My yummy lunch!  Of course, I bought a few cookies. Carl likes chocolate chip, and I love their Red Velvet cookies. After lunch, we headed into JC Penney's. I was looking for a gray dress skirt. There were a couple different styles, but I didn't like them. Then we went to Christopher and Banks, which was really crowded due to their Friends and Family Sale. (Actually, the mall itself was pretty crowded. ...right before another weekend arrives! I was going to blog about our weekend earlier this week, but it didn't work out. Better late than never, though, right? Saturday evening, Carl and I invited some young couples from church over for a cookout and fellowship. We got a little worried when it started raining about the time everyone arrived. But, we just moved our picnic table to the garage, and the rain stopped after we finished eating. The guys were able to play some corn hole, and us ladies chatted while the little girls played with my old camera. They took A LOT of pictures. Here are some pictures that they took. We had a really good time, and talked of getting together again soon. Also that night, we noticed that we have a little barn owl visiting us. It was living in one of the trees on the property line between us and our neighbors. But those trees got cut down this week. More on that later... Sunday evening, we were honored to have the Union Bible College Choir sing for us...

I guess I should have posted this one before the Monday night one, but oh well. We had a relaxing weekend. It was so beautiful outside! We had made plans to go visit with some family, but we had to postpone that for another weekend. Friday night after work, I made a trip to Target on the way home. (I love the fact that I pretty much live across the street from Target!) I found this purse for $7. It is nice and "springy." It matched my outfit for church perfectly yesterday. :) Plus, it is big enough to hold A LOT of stuff. Saturday afternoon, I went to a Bridal Shower for a friend I met a few years ago at work. She doesn't work there anymore, but we try to keep in touch through Facebook. Jenna received a lot of gifts. You would have to know Jenna and her family, but they keep you laughing, that is for sure.
