Chicago - Day 3
We were too tired when we came home last night to do this post, but this is what we did on our last day in Chicago.
We woke up about 8:30 to get all of our stuff together before checking out of the hotel. We really enjoyed our stay there. It was an historic hotel, so some of the decor was a little dated, but it was still nice.
We started out towards Lake Shore Drive, and we passed the Moody Church on our way.
We made our way to Shedd Aquarium. We had planned on parking there and walking to Millennium Park before going back to Shedd before heading home. But, after we parked, we noticed that the sky looked a little dark. So we thought we would go to the aquarium first. We got caught in the rain while walking there. I snapped a photo of the Field Museum of Natural History on the way.
We had to stand in line for about an hour before even getting in the building to see the exhibits.
We finally made it though. I took a lot of pictures inside, but I will do a separate post on that hopefully tomorrow. When we walked out of Shedd Aquarium, it was looking like rain again. But I took one last photo of the Chicago skyline (along with this guy that kept hanging around me the whole trip. :)...)
As we walked back to the parking garage, I took this picture of Soldier Field, where the Chicago Bears play.

We had a much easier time getting out of Chicago than getting in. Traffic wasn't bad at all. We stopped on the way home to get some gas and supper. While on the way home, my mom called me to let us know there was some bad weather close to home. Thank the Lord, we were on the outskirts of the storm driving home. We had some rain, but not near as bad as some areas. The lightning was kinda scary though.
We made it home safely, and were very tired...we still are tired. We plan on going down to Brown County and Nashville tomorrow for the day after we return the rental car, so look for another post soon.
