Music Monday -- "Always Enough" by Casting Crowns

Image
I was listening to this song last week, and was reminded that our God is always enough for me. In fact, He is MORE than enough. If we have Jesus on our side, what else or who else do we need? He has promised to supply all our needs. All we have to do is trust Him and His timing. I am so thankful that "in a dry and weary land, Lord, You are the rain."

Music Monday -- "There Rose A Lamb"

Image
One of my favorite songs for Easter. I love the second verse: I wasn't there when Jesus died. I wasn't there to see Him rise. But I was there when He saved my soul, For within my heart this Lamb arose!

Music Wednesday -- "Take Time To Be Holy"

Image
The Lord is reminding me of the importance of taking time to be holy. It seems like life is sooo busy, and we so easily forget (neglect) the things which are most important. I am guilty of this more than I would care to admit. Lord, forgive me, and help me walk closer to You.

Music Monday -- "I'm Gonna Make it Through" -- Sisters

Image
We had the Grace Trio from God's Bible School at our church on Sunday night. The group did an outstanding job. One of the songs they sang was this one. I love it.

Music Monday -- He'll Hold You

Image
This song is by a group called Selah. God doesn't promise to keep us FROM the storms, but He does promise to keep us THROUGH the storms. He will hold us through it all.

Music Monday -- I Know A Man Who Can

Image
This song reminds me of Dad. Mom, Dad and I used to sing this song at church. Dad would be the one who would suggest it when it was our turn to sing.

Music Monday -- You're Not Alone

Image
This is an older (90's) song by the Kingsmen Quartet. I was reminded of it while listening to the Squire Parsons Tribute CD. There are a lot of people at church going through different trials right now, and I love the reminder in this song. We are not alone in our trials, Jesus is by our side. Isn't it amazing how He can be by my side, while at the same time, being at the side of a brother or sister in Christ? He can help (and is helping) in my situation while He is taking care of a completely different situation in the life of someone else. We serve a wonderful loving Savior.

Music Monday -- He's Still On The Throne

Image
I am so glad that no matter what happens, God is on His throne.

Music Monday - He's Everything I Need

Image
This song is by the Kingsmen Quartet. It has a very catchy tune, you will definitely have it stuck in your head after hearing it. I like the words to the song. I am glad that Jesus is Everything I need. If you have Jesus, you really do have everything.

Music Monday -- There Is Nothing Greater Than Grace

Image
This is on Marshall Hall's solo CD, which is really good, by the way. This is one of my favorite songs. It is a great reminder. There is NOTHING greater than God's grace.

Music Monday -- Thread of Hope

Image
I was reminded of this song while thinking of a dear, sweet lady in our church who is going through a lot right now. She has been battling cancer for a while now. She has mentioned a number of times that she feels like she is hanging on by a thread. She says that she is tying a knot at the end of the rope and is going to keep hanging on. She has told us that God will never gives us more than we can bear. Right now, she is bearing a lot. She is still staying true to Jesus and keeping sweet. If you think of it, please pray for Sister Rosemary Douglas, and her family. I know that they would greatly appreciate it.

Music Monday - More Than Ever

Karen Peck and New River "More Than Ever" "All the miles of my journey have proved my Lord true, and He is so precious to me."

Music Monday - Homesick

Another song in memory of Dad. "If home's where my heart is, then I'm out of place."

Music Monday - Knowing You'll Be There

Image
This is in loving memory of my Dad. I miss him so much! Heaven sure has a greater pull every day.

Music Monday - Your Presence for Christmas

Image
I heard this song while watching a wedding recently, and then again at the Christmas Program at Union Bible College. I love the words. This is my prayer. I want to have the presence of Jesus near to me and my loved ones this Christmas, for that is the best gift to have. Without Jesus, we wouldn't have Christmas at all.

Music Monday - O Come, O Come Emmanuel

This is one of my favorite carols.

Music Monday - O Holy Night

Nobody sings this song like David Phelps...

Music Monday -- Thankful For The Change

Image
I am so thankful for the change that Jesus made in my life. Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. II Corinthians 5:17

Continuing with the "Thanksgiving" themed songs, here is "Thank You Lord, For Your Blessings On Me" performed by Gordon Mote and Jason Crabb.
