Bridal Shower Number 1

Saturday, April 4th, my future Sister-in-Law, Tammy, had a bridal shower for me. She invited the women from Carl's side of the family. It was a good time. I will admit that I was a little nervous about it at first, since I have always been with Carl when I have been around his family, obviously. But, all of his family, my new family, have taken me in as one of their own. I really appreciate that. They are super nice.

I received a lot of things for our new house. I was so grateful for each and every gift. Tammy had put together a cookbook of family recipes, which was really neat.

Candle Giveaway!

Since my husband is working on a Saturday; since it's been a cloudy, rainy day; and since it's been almost two months since I have done a blog post. I am doing a GIVEAWAY! Carl is working on a Saturday evening for a co-worker, but he will have Labor Day off. That will be nice because Carl will be able to stay at our family reunion as long as he likes. For the past few years, he has only been able to stay for an hour before heading into work. Instead of staying home by myself, Mom and I went shopping. We went to a consignment store called Off The Hanger, where I bought this pair of shoes for only $6:   Cute, huh?   We also went to Bath and Body Works. They were having a Labor Day Sale. The 3-wick candles are 2 for $20 this weekend. The mini candles are 2 for $5, and they also have lots of other things on sale. I love it when they have the candles on sale. I absolutely love the candles at Bath and Body Works!   I bought these two large candles.
