Congrats to Jennifer!!

My cousin Jennifer, who is a sophmore at UBC, called me yesterday to tell me that she is a member of a new singing group called Witness. She was very excited!! She will be traveling this summer with the group, which consists of two girls and two guys. They also will be traveling with Rev and Sister Asbury at the end of the summer out west. Jenn is excited because she has not been too far out west. She said that they are going to be going to Washington...that's about as west as you can get.

I am very proud of her. I know that she will do well. Below is a picture of Jenn and I from I think two years ago. It is one of my favorite pics of the two of us.

Candle Giveaway!

Since my husband is working on a Saturday; since it's been a cloudy, rainy day; and since it's been almost two months since I have done a blog post. I am doing a GIVEAWAY! Carl is working on a Saturday evening for a co-worker, but he will have Labor Day off. That will be nice because Carl will be able to stay at our family reunion as long as he likes. For the past few years, he has only been able to stay for an hour before heading into work. Instead of staying home by myself, Mom and I went shopping. We went to a consignment store called Off The Hanger, where I bought this pair of shoes for only $6:   Cute, huh?   We also went to Bath and Body Works. They were having a Labor Day Sale. The 3-wick candles are 2 for $20 this weekend. The mini candles are 2 for $5, and they also have lots of other things on sale. I love it when they have the candles on sale. I absolutely love the candles at Bath and Body Works!   I bought these two large candles.
