Vacation -- Day 2

Sunday morning of our vacation we attended the Saginaw First Baptist Church.

It was not far from Amy's house. We went to a Sunday School class and then the Worship Service. It was different, but good. The people there were very friendly, and the sermon was Biblical. After the service we went back to Amy's house for lunch. I took my Sunday afternoon nap, like always.

Sunday evening, we attended church with Amy. We went to Christ Chapel Bible Church. This was a much bigger church than the one we went to Sunday morning. Again, the people were friendly and the message was Biblical. The service was definitely more contemporary than we are used to, but still a good service.

Candle Giveaway!

Since my husband is working on a Saturday; since it's been a cloudy, rainy day; and since it's been almost two months since I have done a blog post. I am doing a GIVEAWAY! Carl is working on a Saturday evening for a co-worker, but he will have Labor Day off. That will be nice because Carl will be able to stay at our family reunion as long as he likes. For the past few years, he has only been able to stay for an hour before heading into work. Instead of staying home by myself, Mom and I went shopping. We went to a consignment store called Off The Hanger, where I bought this pair of shoes for only $6:   Cute, huh?   We also went to Bath and Body Works. They were having a Labor Day Sale. The 3-wick candles are 2 for $20 this weekend. The mini candles are 2 for $5, and they also have lots of other things on sale. I love it when they have the candles on sale. I absolutely love the candles at Bath and Body Works!   I bought these two large candles.
