Finished Pinterest Project

I made something I found on Pinterest. Last weekend, I went to the baby shower for my cousin's girlfriend. She is due to have a little girl towards the end of this month. I wanted to make something different for her. Since I do not sew (that's why I have my mother...), the options were kinda limited.

But I found this cute idea on Pinterest. Instead of the traditional diaper cake, this is a diaper bike or motorcycle. How cute is that, huh?

Here is the one I made. It was a lot easier than I was expecting. The blankets were made by my Mom, so they were a little bigger and thicker than receiving blankets as the instructions suggest. What do you think?

Candle Giveaway!

Since my husband is working on a Saturday; since it's been a cloudy, rainy day; and since it's been almost two months since I have done a blog post. I am doing a GIVEAWAY! Carl is working on a Saturday evening for a co-worker, but he will have Labor Day off. That will be nice because Carl will be able to stay at our family reunion as long as he likes. For the past few years, he has only been able to stay for an hour before heading into work. Instead of staying home by myself, Mom and I went shopping. We went to a consignment store called Off The Hanger, where I bought this pair of shoes for only $6:   Cute, huh?   We also went to Bath and Body Works. They were having a Labor Day Sale. The 3-wick candles are 2 for $20 this weekend. The mini candles are 2 for $5, and they also have lots of other things on sale. I love it when they have the candles on sale. I absolutely love the candles at Bath and Body Works!   I bought these two large candles.
