My pastor read this tonight at church. I liked it and thought I would would share with all of you.


God Is Like...

A fifth grade teacher in a Christian school asked her class to look at TV commercials and see if they could use them in some way to communicate ideas about God.

Here are some of the results:

God is like BAYER ASPIRIN...He works miracles.

God is like FORD...He's got a better idea.

God is like COCA-COLA...He's the real thing.

God is like HALLMARK...He cares enough to send His very best.

God is like TIDE...He gets the stains out that others leave behind.

God is like GENERAL ELECTRIC...He brings good things to life.

God is like WAL-MART...He has everything.

God is like ALKA-SELTZER...Try Him, you'll like Him

God is like SCOTCH TAPE...You can't see Him, but you know He's there.

God is like DELTA...He's ready when you are.

God is like ALLSTATE...You're in good hands with Him.

God is like VO-5 HAIRSPRAY...He holds through all kinds of weather.

God is like DIAL SOAP...Aren't you glad you have Him? Don't you wish everybody did?

God is like the U.S. POST OFFICE...Neither rain, nor snow, nor sleet nor ice will keep Him from His appointed destination.

God is like CHEVROLET...the heart beat of America

God is like MAXWELL HOUSE...Good to the very last drop

God is like BOUNTY...He is the quicker picker upper. He can handle the tough jobs and He won't fall apart on you.

I love this...it is almost tear jerking because this is who God our good almighty King. He is LOVE.

God is like Toys"R"us...with him you will never have to grow up for you are always and forever his child

God is like MasterCard....There are some things money can't buy. For everything else there's God.

Candle Giveaway!

Since my husband is working on a Saturday; since it's been a cloudy, rainy day; and since it's been almost two months since I have done a blog post. I am doing a GIVEAWAY! Carl is working on a Saturday evening for a co-worker, but he will have Labor Day off. That will be nice because Carl will be able to stay at our family reunion as long as he likes. For the past few years, he has only been able to stay for an hour before heading into work. Instead of staying home by myself, Mom and I went shopping. We went to a consignment store called Off The Hanger, where I bought this pair of shoes for only $6:   Cute, huh?   We also went to Bath and Body Works. They were having a Labor Day Sale. The 3-wick candles are 2 for $20 this weekend. The mini candles are 2 for $5, and they also have lots of other things on sale. I love it when they have the candles on sale. I absolutely love the candles at Bath and Body Works!   I bought these two large candles.
