Narnia Junior Church

This month, our Junior Church class has taken a trip to Narnia. We are listening to Focus on the Family's Radio Theatre version of The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe.The kids are LOVIN' it. Every time I stop the CD, I hear a bunch of groans. They want me to keep it going. (To be honest, I don't want to stop the CD each week either.) I want them to enjoy the story. It is one of my favorites. I could hear it again and again, and not grow tired of it. I want the children to get the lessons from the story as well. You know, the comparison between Aslan and Jesus, and how the White Witch is like the devil, to name a couple. I hope these important truths stay with them for a long time.

Candle Giveaway!

Since my husband is working on a Saturday; since it's been a cloudy, rainy day; and since it's been almost two months since I have done a blog post. I am doing a GIVEAWAY! Carl is working on a Saturday evening for a co-worker, but he will have Labor Day off. That will be nice because Carl will be able to stay at our family reunion as long as he likes. For the past few years, he has only been able to stay for an hour before heading into work. Instead of staying home by myself, Mom and I went shopping. We went to a consignment store called Off The Hanger, where I bought this pair of shoes for only $6:   Cute, huh?   We also went to Bath and Body Works. They were having a Labor Day Sale. The 3-wick candles are 2 for $20 this weekend. The mini candles are 2 for $5, and they also have lots of other things on sale. I love it when they have the candles on sale. I absolutely love the candles at Bath and Body Works!   I bought these two large candles.
