You Are My All In All

This has to be my absolute favorite song on the Giving Thanks DVD by the Gaithers. I love it! I love the song itself, but I also love how it is arranged with Canon in D. The string quartet, guitar, and piano parts are all awesome. Jesus truly is my "All in All." There is no other.

You Know It's Monday When...

1. You wake up with a migraine...UGH! 2. Your hair doesn't really want to cooperate with you. 3. The hard drive on your computer at work randomly decides to crash. Hearing a "clicking" sound coming from your computer is NEVER a good thing. Then seeing a "Blue Screen of Death" :( 4. Aforementioned migraine gets worse...due to crashing hard drive. 5. You have to work on two different computers for the rest of the day...due to crashing hard drive. 6. You come home to a overflowing laundry hamper and basket. (I hate doing laundry...) Here's hoping tomorrow is much better. We start Revival at church tomorrow night. I have been looking forward to it. I know that I personally need all the spiritual help I can get. I am in no way perfect, nor do I claim to be. Like the song says, "He's still working on me, to make me what I ought to be." I want God to show me ways to grow in my walk with Him. I intend to do everything in my power to be clo...

Weekend Happenings

Image
Yesterday was Christian Store Day. We went to our local Christian store, the Tree of Life Bookstore. They had some pretty good deals. I bought 3 Scripture plaques that were 80% off. I bought the newest MercyMe CD, which has been out for a little while, but it was only 7.99 yesterday. I also bought a CD that was only 5.00 called Help Haiti. It has music and e-books on it. I bought a book for Mom, and since I purchased more than $25 worth of stuff, I was able to choose a free item, which was another book for Mom. Last night, we went to see one of my favorite groups, Time for Three, perform with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra. The tickets were part of my birthday gift from Carl. :) Time for Three performed a concerto composed for them by Chris Brubeck. It had a very jazzy feel to it. The concerto had all kinds of different styles of music woven into it, which was pretty cool. The ISO also perform Brahams' Symphony Number 4. I always love going to hear the ISO. We are goin...

Apple Works Orchard

Image
I just wanted to post some random pictures of our little trip to the Apple Works orchard in Trafalgar, Indiana. It really is a neat place to go to in the Fall. They have apples (duh!), pumpkin patch, a little petting zoo, pony rides, train, and a huge slide for the kids. There is also a nice gazebo area that is perfect for pictures. We bought two bags of apples, one for us and one for Mom and James. I also bought a delicious apple dumpling that Carl and I shared there. The place was very crowded, so if you go, expect to wait for a while. We may go back at the end of the month and take Mom. I think she would enjoy it.

All Over The World - Booth Brothers

I love this song!

This is one of my favorite songs on the "Greatly Blessed" CD. Very catchy tune, and good words. We are greatly blessed.

I saw this picture on the Bing homepage. It made me remember our little trip to Chicago this summer. I would love to go back and spend more time there. It is such a great city!

Friday Fill-in

So...here we go! 1. My favorite month is October because it's my birthday month and it's the perfect Fall month. 2. I could use a fresh breeze. 3. I love to sniff candles. 4. Chick-fil-a cinnamon rolls are what I like to have as a treat for breakfast. 5. The hobby I enjoy most is sleeping...hahaha! No, really, taking photos or blogging. 6. Lions and tigers and bears... oh my! 7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to relaxing at home , tomorrow my plans include going to Apple Works and Sunday, I want to take a nice nap !

My Birthday

Image
I had an amazing birthday weekend. We had made plans to go up to Alexandria, Indiana and visit what I call "Gaitherville" or Gaither Family Resources. They were having a Fall Fest. They had a picnic on the grounds with a group called Joshua's Vision providing the musical entertainment. There were vendors selling handmade items, and the Gaither store was open. We ate a good early dinner, and browsed the store. I actually bought the special package they had for the weekend, the two new Gaither DVD's "Count Your Blessings" and "Giving Thanks" along with the CDs and the new Christmas CD by The Isaacs. It was $60. We were hoping the studio would be open for tours, but it wasn't. I guess that just gives us an excuse to go up there another time, so that Carl can see the studio. After that, we headed down to Anderson to go to a concert featuring Ryan Seaton and the Booth Brothers. The Booth Brothers are one of our favorite gospel groups. We loved the ...
