Happy Birthday to Me!

This past Saturday was my birthday. I had a very nice day. Carl treated me so well. He gave me this:


Which means that we are going to hear this group:


The group is Time for Three, and they are really cool. We heard them at Symphony on the Prairie this summer and we loved them.

We also are going to hear the music of The Wizard of Oz while the movie is played. That is going to be so cool! I love The Wizard of Oz.

Carl also gave me some of this stuff (which smells really good):

He gave me the shower gel, bubble bath, body spray, and hand cream, along with a pair of really comfy slipper socks. He tends to spoil me...

We went up to UBC for their Old Fashioned Day. On the way back home, we stopped at Clay Terrace. We then had to hurry home to get ready for revival service that night.

We plan on going to Apple Works and to Little Nashville this Saturday. Then going back down to Brown County later this month. I make my birthday a month-long event...

Thanks to everyone that wished me happy birthday on Facebook and through text messages. Thanks for thinking of me.

Since my husband is working on a Saturday; since it's been a cloudy, rainy day; and since it's been almost two months since I have done a blog post. I am doing a GIVEAWAY! Carl is working on a Saturday evening for a co-worker, but he will have Labor Day off. That will be nice because Carl will be able to stay at our family reunion as long as he likes. For the past few years, he has only been able to stay for an hour before heading into work. Instead of staying home by myself, Mom and I went shopping. We went to a consignment store called Off The Hanger, where I bought this pair of shoes for only $6:   Cute, huh?   We also went to Bath and Body Works. They were having a Labor Day Sale. The 3-wick candles are 2 for $20 this weekend. The mini candles are 2 for $5, and they also have lots of other things on sale. I love it when they have the candles on sale. I absolutely love the candles at Bath and Body Works!   I bought these two large candles.

Pinterest Recipe - Crockpot Italian Chicken

If sauce is too thick, add a little milk. Serve over pasta. We tried this a couple of weeks ago and really liked it. It is super easy, and tastes really good!
