Mom and I finally made it home last night. I say finally because we didn't land in Indianapolis until 10:30pm when we should have arrived at 4:30. Our flight from Atlanta to Indy was cancelled and we had to be re-booked on another flight. Yesterday started well...we woke up at 4AM (5, Indiana time) in order to be at the airport at 5:30. We went through customs without any problems. The guy even let us go without making us pay the $20 each Departure Tax that Panama has. Our flight left at 7:30, and we made it to Atlanta about 12:30PM. We went through customs, again without any problems. The Customs agent kept telling Mom and I how much we look like each other..."could be twins" in his words. Ha ha. We claimed and rechecked our luggage, no problems. Then we went through Security again, and we had enough time to make it to the gate for our flight home, which was to leave at 2:45. The flight was overbooked, so they were asking for people to volunteer to go on the later flight

Hey all, I am still in Panama...Mom and I will be going home on Tuesday the 29th. It has been a good trip seeing my family, but we are ready to go home. We did not have any problems with our layover in Atlanta, or with customs when we arrived in Panama. Usually, they go thru all of your bags, but they did not do that this time...which is good, because that can be a hassle. A lot has changed since we were here last, almost 9 years ago. Everything is more modernized than before. It still very hot here, though. Oh my goodness, is it hot here! It has been in the upper 90s almost every day that we have been here. It has only rained once, and then only for a few minutes. I have seen all my aunts and uncles except for two uncles that I will be seeing this weekend. I also go to meet an aunt (actually, great-aunt) that lives in New York City. I can understand more of the Spanish that I thought I would be able to. Tomorrow afternoon, Mom and I will be flying to this location: We are going to be there for about 11 days. We will be visiting my Mom's side of the family. I have a lot of aunts, uncles, and cousins there. And that is where my Grandma Pena lives, of course. Please pray that we have a safe trip down there and back. I am going to miss my boyfriend Carl so much. This will be the longest stretch of time not seeing each other since we started dating. It has been 4 months since we have been an official couple. It's been amazing...but that's for a different post. :) I will try to post updates while I am in Panama, but I may have to wait until I get back. I will have lots of pictures to post. See ya!

My cousin Jennifer, who is a sophmore at UBC, called me yesterday to tell me that she is a member of a new singing group called Witness. She was very excited!! She will be traveling this summer with the group, which consists of two girls and two guys. They also will be traveling with Rev and Sister Asbury at the end of the summer out west. Jenn is excited because she has not been too far out west. She said that they are going to be going to Washington...that's about as west as you can get. I am very proud of her.
