Music Wednesday -- "Take Time To Be Holy"

Image
The Lord is reminding me of the importance of taking time to be holy. It seems like life is sooo busy, and we so easily forget (neglect) the things which are most important. I am guilty of this more than I would care to admit. Lord, forgive me, and help me walk closer to You.

We had the Grace Trio from God's Bible School at our church on Sunday night. The group did an outstanding job. One of the songs they sang was this one. I love it.

Week of February 26 to March 3 Diaper motorcycle I made for a cousin Baby shower

Finished Pinterest Project

I made something I found on Pinterest. Last weekend, I went to the baby shower for my cousin's girlfriend. She is due to have a little girl towards the end of this month. I wanted to make something different for her. Since I do not sew (that's why I have my mother...), the options were kinda limited. But I found this cute idea on Pinterest. Instead of the traditional diaper cake, this is a diaper bike or motorcycle. How cute is that, huh? Source: sweetaprils.com via Vanessa on Pinterest The picture will take you to the website with the instructions for making one. Here is the one I made. It was a lot easier than I was expecting. The blankets were made by my Mom, so they were a little bigger and thicker than receiving blankets as the instructions suggest. What do you think?

Junior Church Bulletin Board

I found this neat idea for the Junior Church on Boardsgalore.com . It is something completely different from what I have usually done for the Easter season. The large yellow egg and small eggs I drew freehand. I am so not an artist. The jelly beans I made using a bean clip art I found on Word. The background is from the education store. Speaking of Junior Church, here is a question for all you Children's Workers... How do you handle bathroom runs? Meaning, in our class, when one child asks to go to the bathroom, EVERYBODY else has to go to the bathroom too. I can't send them all at once, so I send them one at a time, but it is becoming a HUGE distraction. I try to get all bathroom time out of the way early, but that seems to be not working for keeping a sensible feeling of calm in the room. The kids go to Junior Church from their Sunday School classes with a five minute break between the classes which doesn't give a lot of time to make sure everyone goes to the b

Music Monday -- He'll Hold You

This song is by a group called Selah. God doesn't promise to keep us FROM the storms, but He does promise to keep us THROUGH the storms. He will hold us through it all.

Project 365 -- Week 8

Week of February 19 to February 25, 2012 This was a rough week for me, so I did not take any photos. I had a headache every.single.day this week, plus there were some other things going on. Pretty stressful. I kept telling myself to "Choose joy, Vanessa. Choose joy." I had to remind myself I have a lot of reasons to be thankful, even in the rough times.
