To iPhone Or Not To iPhone...

Image
...that is the question. (Photo credit: http://www.apple.com/ ) I am considering jumping on the iPhone bandwagon. I have not owned a touch screen phone before, so that kinda throws me off. For those of you out there who have iPhones, let me know...do you like it? Let me know the pros and cons of owning an iPhone in the comments.

Target Deals

Image
Here is a picture of the stuff I got at Target last night for under $20. The black boots were $9, the brown purse was $5, and the brown flats were $4. I was super excited! I was just mentioning to someone at work that I wanted a pair of black boots, but I didn't want to spend a lot of money on them. Isn't it just like God to grant us our desires! God is so good!! Narnia Junior Church

Image
This month, our Junior Church class has taken a trip to Narnia. We are listening to Focus on the Family's Radio Theatre version of The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe. The kids are LOVIN' it. Every time I stop the CD, I hear a bunch of groans. They want me to keep it going. (To be honest, I don't want to stop the CD each week either.) I want them to enjoy the story. It is one of my favorites. I could hear it again and again, and not grow tired of it. I want the children to get the lessons from the story as well. You know, the comparison between Aslan and Jesus, and how the White Witch is like the devil, to name a couple. I hope these important truths stay with them for a long time. Here are some pictures of how I decorated the classroom. Aslan Wintry scene on the piano Bulletin Board The forest and lamp post My attempt at Cair Paravel Snowflakes hanging from the ceiling

Random Thoughts

Image
This post is just a bunch of jumbled thoughts, so beware! * I have really got to get back in the blogging mood. I have just been in a "blah" state of mind, so that makes it kinda hard to think of creative/interesting blog material. I will try my best to get back in the groove of things soon. * I love my husband. He bought a dozen roses for me last Friday...for no reason. He is the best! * I am excited about my theme in Junior Church this month. We are visiting the land of Narnia! We are listening to Focus on the Family's Radio Theatre version of "The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe." The kids are loving it so far. They hate for me to stop the CD. (To be honest, I hate to stop the CD myself, I love the Chronicles of Narnia!) I am trying to teach them the lessons within the story. I have the Junior Church room decorated like winter. I will take some pictures this weekend and post them for you to see. Some of the parents have told me that their kids tell th...

Pay It Forward

I posted this on my Facebook wall, and only got two responses. So I thought I would re-post it on here. I need three more people. Pay It Forward for Creative People: I promise to send something handmade to the first 5 people who leave a comment to this update. They must in turn, promise to post this and send something they made to the first 5 posters on their status. It must be handmade by you, and it must be sent to your 5 people sometime in 2011.

Next Video

The next video is "I Stand Redeemed" by Legacy 5. Gus Gaches does an outstanding job on this song. I love the words to this one as well. I am glad that I too stand redeemed. Jesus has taken my guilt and shame away and has given me a new life in Him. When i think of all my faults and my failures When i consider all the times I've let God down I am humbled by the grace He has extended I'm amazed at the mercy I have found I could never earn His love on my own Yet every time I come before His throne Chorus: I stand redeemed by the blood of the Lamb I stand redeemed before the great I am When He looks at me, I sees the nail scarred hands That bought my liberty I stand redeemed Even at my best I am unworthy I have nothing precious i can give A broken life is all I have to offer And yet it's a priceless gift to Him The bitter mark of sin will never fade away But i can come before Him unashamed Chorus: I stand redeemed by the blood of the Lamb ...

Reason Enough

I am in a bit of a blogging funk. I can't think of anything to blog about...or that I feel like blogging about. I know that I need to post something, so here are a couple videos of songs that I am loving right now. I am also posting the lyrics underneath the video. Sometimes it helps to read the words of a song to better appreciate it. The first video is Ernie Haase and Signature Sound singing "Reason Enough." I love this song. Sometimes, I tend to forget just how much God really loves me, and how much I need to be trusting Him to take care of me. You have walked me through the valley Of the shadows dark and low And that's reason enough to believe You have shown me endless mercy Oh why, I'll never know And that's reason enough to believe. Chorus: So I won't wait for signs and wonders To teach me how to trust Cause You've already proven Lord The depths of Your great love You took the cross so willingly And spilled Your precious blood ...
