Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving!
 
I have so many reasons to be thankful, I can't possibly list them all.
 
Most of all, I thank God for His overwhelming grace. I am amazed He loves us all so much.
 
I am thankful for God's patience. I know I have failed Him so many times, but He lovingly picks me back up, and helps me walk again.
 
I am thankful for the Bible.
 
I am thankful for my sweet husband.
 
I am thankful for my wonderful, quirky family. I have an amazing Mom and brother. My extended family is awesome as well. And the family I gained when I married Carl has been so sweet to me.
 
I am thankful for my church family.
 
I am thankful for my many amazing friends. You know who you are. I love you all.
 
I am thankful to have a home, a car, and a job.
 
I am thankful for an awesome group of children/tweens in Junior Church, and how God has been helping us grow.
 
This list could go on for a LONG time, but I will just sum it up by saying I am so greatly blessed.

Candle Giveaway!

Since my husband is working on a Saturday; since it's been a cloudy, rainy day; and since it's been almost two months since I have done a blog post. I am doing a GIVEAWAY! Carl is working on a Saturday evening for a co-worker, but he will have Labor Day off. That will be nice because Carl will be able to stay at our family reunion as long as he likes. For the past few years, he has only been able to stay for an hour before heading into work. Instead of staying home by myself, Mom and I went shopping. What do you collect?

I am sure every person out there has some odd or crazy thing he or she collects. Especially when you travel...do you have a certain object you like to buy/find as a souvenir? Some collect those spoons with the location on the handle. Some like the shot glasses or keychains. Others may enjoy postcards or stamps. I am sure you can think of lots of things you could pick up when you are on vacation or visiting a new location. Me, I like to get these: For some crazy reason, I love to get these smashed pennies. They are usually pretty cheap, only 50 cents to a dollar each, and make a simple souvenir. I thought I had more of these, but maybe I gave some away. The ones here are from Texas, Arizona and Chicago. I look for these penny machines at all the tourist places. I think it's fun. May I also right here say that if you are traveling and come across one of these machines, think of me and get me one? If I may be so bold to ask for a souvenir... I would love to add to my collection!
